Project Management and Risk Management Training
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The FDA consists of the Office of the Commissioner and four directorates overseeing the core functions of the agency: Medical Products and Tobacco, Foods and Veterinary Medicine, Global Regulatory Operations and Policy, and Operations. Faced with unprecedented demands brought on by COVID-19, FDA sought to upskill its managers with targeted training in the area of project management and risk management.
Teaming Worldwide developed and deployed a course on Project Management/Risk Management that delivered highly interactive training to mid- and senior-level scientists in the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. This two-day class incorporated interactive design that supported the learning of core project management skills. The course covered both technical and soft skills of project management, as related to the scientific work of the FDA. Delivered virtually, this class supported the agency’s goals to deploy faster, more effective reviews of food and drug products.
